Every dog gets a mark on the doorframe.
Priced by height, not by breed.
On a dog's first visit we stand them against the doorframe by the bath and pencil in their height at the shoulder, their name and the date. There are more than 900 marks on it now. That mark sets the price; the breeds are only a guide.

What a groom includes
A full groom is a bath, a hand-dry, a haircut, nails, ears, and a tidy of face, feet and bottom. A bath and tidy is the same without the haircut.

Teeth brushing

De-shedding treatment
£15
A matted coat, each extra half hour
£12
We always ring you before we start on a matted coat.
A first visit, mostly treats.
For puppies from 12 weeks, once their jabs are done, up to six months: a warm bath, a blow-dry on the quiet setting, a tidy of face, feet and bottom, nails, a lot of praise — and their first mark on the doorframe.
£28
about 45 minutes
We suggest two, about four weeks apart, before a first full groom at around six months.
Book a puppy introduction
One dog on the table at a time.
Most grooms take two to three hours. No sedation, ever: if a dog has had enough, we stop and ring you. Hannah Pryce and Ellie Moore do the grooming.
“Pip used to shake at the vet's. Now she trots into Oak Street like she owns the place.”
Claire, Eaton
A typical morning
9.00
In, muddy
Drop off any time from 7.30am, or Tom collects in the van.
9.05
We talk it through
What you'd like (a photo of a haircut you like helps), and the price, agreed before we start. On a first visit, we measure at the doorframe.
9.20
A bath and a hand-dry
Warm water, a towel, then a hand-dryer. We never use cage dryers.
10.15
The haircut, nails and ears
The haircut you agreed, then nails, ears, and a tidy of face, feet and bottom.
11.45
A photo by text
So you know they're ready.
12.00
Home, clean
Collect them, or Tom drops them home.
“The photo text when he's ready is the best bit of my Thursday.”
